As the league draws close to its final stages, Platinum Stars FC prepares well for their remaining games. The North West side has been receiving support from the North West Province’s Premier, Honourable Supra Mahumapelo and he has passionately encouraged the supporters to go and attend the games when Stars play. Dikwena suffered a 2-1 defeat LAST Sunday from the visiting side, Maritzburg United at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace. A late goal from Maritzburg spoilt the 1-1 draw in the 89th minute and dropping Dikwena a spot lower on the log table.

“Sunday’s game was not supposed to end like that. We held Maritzburg especially after our equaliser and I did not see us concede as it was already over. Football is an evil game and when one scores at the last minute, no matter how hard you can try, the whistle will blow just immediately after. We were torn, and disappointed, but we had to pull our head up and focus on the next game. The league is not yet over, we just need to make sure that our plan works for us, just” Punch Masenamela on the game on Sunday.

The next game will be at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace, on Sunday 22 March 2015 with a kick off at 15:00. This will be the last 16 round of the Nedbank Cup and Dikwena will play against Mamelodi Sundowns.
